SmartKids Child Care & Learning Center
A love for learning begins during childhood! At SmartKids Child Care and Learning Center, we provide quality early childhood education. We enroll children from six weeks to 12 years of age. By participating in the Keystone STARS program, our child care programs focus on continuous quality improvement. With two locations in Meadowlands and Washington, PA, we are able to work with many students in the surrounding areas.

With Teaching Strategies Family and Teaching Strategies Gold, we are able to share the child’s progress with the parents through daily reports, providing valuable information and help in child development. We are also able to send real time photos, videos and SMS text to parents daily.

At our centers, we offer infant and toddler care, as well as preschool. For School Age children, we provide programs like before-and-after-school care, summer camps, and transport services to and from local school districts to support families. We are licensed through the state of Pennsylvania, and have affordable tuition rates and outdoor classrooms. We are proud of our Keystone STARS 4 STAR rating, meeting high quality early care and learning standards. All our teachers possess training in early childhood education and are dedicated to high quality early care.
About Us
SmartKids began in 1996 and is privately owned. The business was started by Donna Shriver, who saw a need for quality child care in Washington County and believes childhood is a time of real value. SmartKids began with the idea that it is essential for every child to have exposure to early learning programs in a developmentally appropriate setting.
We are currently in Washington County, Pennsylvania and service many elementary schools in the Washington, Trinity, McGuffey, Canon-MacMillan, and Chartiers Houston School Districts. Our commitment to excellence is demonstrated through continuous improvement and by achieving quality standards set forth by the Keystone STARS program. Our centers are devoted to serving children and their families with qualified early learning staff, continually focusing on improvement. SmartKids is a Pennsylvania State licensed Child Care Center, designated by the Keystone STARS program with a STAR 4 rating.
